I was in prayer focusing on the blood of Christ and Communion when this vision opened up with an amazing look at the firstborn citizens of heaven.
I was in an arena of sorts where a great multitude was gathered together. I saw myself sitting down on a stone bench. The stone bench was in the back of the arena. Looking out into the arena I could see those already in their designated places.
I was clothed in armor or what seemed to be battle clothing. A man came forth to wash my feet. I instantly knew him to be my Lord Jesus. He spoke nothing to me but lovingly washed my feet. When he was done I stood up and noticed my clothing had been changed from battle clothes to royal robes. I wore a long red robe and a crown was upon my head.
I took the arm of my Savior and He escorted me down an aisle. At the end of the aisle was the spectacularly lit Throne of God. It was all light which shone from above. I knelt and placed my crown before the Throne. There were so many crowns laid down before God it was beautiful. I went and took my place.
Jesus began to speak to the Father who sat on the throne. There was no sound being made by anyone else but Jesus. He spoke of the sin of the world. He spoke of our sin; the sin those in the arena recognized as what had been in their own lives. He recounted the sacrifice he made for all mankind. As He was speaking, my heart wept knowing I did not deserve such love. I did not deserve this sacrifice on my behalf. I bent down as I wept.
I was moved to look up and saw not only had I bowed down to Jesus but all were on their knees. Everyone, thousands upon thousands, too many to count; knew they did not deserve the sacrifice Jesus had given.
With everyone kneeling down, Jesus kept speaking of His Blood; of the sacrifice which was the NEW COVENANT.
Suddenly I saw the multitude as a whole. Bent down all that was seen was the red from our robes. Before the Throne of God was a sea of red. A sea of blood. A sea of sacrifice. All the Father could see was this Sea.
The Sea spoke and said, “Mercy”. The vision ended.
I love to receive vision from Heaven because the reality of the Word of God is opened up in a whole new way. What I was permitted to see and be part of is: The General Assembly! Before you go on please read about it here (underline mine):
22 But you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to myriads of angels [in festive gathering],23 and to the general assembly and assembly of the firstborn who are registered [as citizens] in heaven, and to God, who is Judge of all, and to the spirits of the righteous (the redeemed in heaven) who have been made perfect [bringing them to their final glory], 24 and to Jesus, the Mediator of a new covenant [uniting God and man], and to the sprinkled blood, which speaks [of mercy], a better and nobler and more gracious message than the blood of Abel [which cried out for vengeance]. Hebrews 12:22-24 AMP
Many times we read a passage like this and gloss over it because it seems more like an allegory (a story or parable) instead of true description of actual events. But as incredible as it seems born again believers belong on Earth and have citizenship in Heaven as well. We are part of The General Assembly as you can see from Hebrews 12:23. We are the assembly of the firstborn who are registered citizens of heaven.
Here are two verses pertaining to our being firstborn. Keep in mind we are the “many brothers and sisters” and the “kings of the earth” as you read.
- “For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters. Romans 8:29 NIV emphasis mine
- “…and from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth. To him who loves us and has freed us from our sis by his blood,” Revelation 1:5 NIV emphasis mine
Here are two verses pertaining to our citizenship in Heaven:
- “But our citizenship is in heaven, and we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ who, by the power that enables Him to subject all things to Himself, will transform our lowly bodies to be like His glorious body.” Philippians 3:20-21 BSB emphasis mine
- “He (Jesus) came and preached peace to you who were far away (Gentiles) and peace to those who were near. (Israel) For through Him we both have access to the Father by one Spirit. Therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens of the saints’ and members of God’s household…” Ephesians 2:17-19 BSB emphasis mine.
Here we learn born again believers are joined with Israel as “fellow citizens” in the household of God. We are God’s family on the earth and in heaven. The new thing God is doing right now is releasing the Spirit upon us to realize the truth of these verses so we can begin to operate as they did in the book of Acts as well as in new ways reserved for the time we are in. We no longer need to look back thinking the early Church was great but that was then and for them. God is always increasing and “of his Kingdom there is no end”. So the Church of today will have purity, strength and power in increasing measure.
The New Covenant Jesus came to announce and mediate is MERCY not vengeance. God is not angry with the world but has already reconciled the world to himself through Jesus Christ. Mercy completely triumphed all. There is nothing left which can trump the mercy of Christ and he lives to intercede for everyone based on the sacrifice he made on the cross.
We all need to be washed by the Word and cleansed from unrighteousness. Christ lovingly displayed this the night he was betrayed and began to wash the apostles’ feet. Peter objected saying it was he who needed to wash the feet of Jesus. Remember Jesus’ answer?
- “Unless I wash you, you have no part with Me.” John 13:8
Jesus showed us we can never wash him from uncleanness. It is He who must wash us in order we have a part with him. So when we come to heaven, it is Jesus who washes us from unrighteousness that we may stand before the throne of Heaven. Once washed we are clothed with Christ in royal garments just like the father clothed his prodigal son.
I hope you caught this from the vision: we all have a place. We belong and have a designated place in heaven. I didn’t look around for a place to sit; I walked right to my place. Call it what you will: a house, a mansion, a seat in the assembly, a garden or a ruling seat in God’s house. There are many places in Heaven and no true believer is a stranger or outcast. We belong there more than we belong here.
What happened next in the vision was stunning: Jesus recants his sacrifice to the Father and all sins are pardoned through him. If you’ve ever felt unworthy of the sacrifice Jesus made for you – that’s a good thing! And in humility it’s right to acknowledge it. But remember – he died to cover our life with mercy not condemnation.
Jesus gave us the Communion cup as a common union we would share with him and other believers. I believe when we focus on the Blood of Christ we enter into this special General Assembly in Heaven and are part of a body who is declaring, decreeing, prophesying MERCY be upon the earth. Every one of us are living, breathing proof that God is merciful and kind. No matter what kind of hand life or mankind has dealt you whether a person said they were a Christian or not; always remember this Sea of Mercy. If others are unmerciful God is merciful. It is never the other way around.
The General Assembly is a very real place and together we are THE SEA OF MERCY walking the earth. Our focus as the firstborn brethren of Jesus is to know the mercy given to us and as ruling kings on this earth EXTEND THE MERCY OF CHRIST TO ALL. Amen!
Love, Anne Grove

How many of us think we can’t pursue our dream because we just don’t know how to do it. I heard something recently from motivational speaker Bob Proctor and I hope it changes your mind about success and failure. He said, It’s your story. It’s yours to tell. If you knew this- you would do […]
The night Jesus was betrayed he prayed in the Garden of Gethsemane. He asked the Father three times if “this cup” could pass from him; yet not his will but the will of the Father be done. It’s like Jesus was asking- “Is there any other way to save mankind?” The crucifixion has been portrayed in […]
