“Beloved, “What are you doing? Why are you going through all of this?”
This is God asking his Beloved, “Do you know what you’re doing? Do you know why you are going through tests of purity, faithfulness and love”?
“You are becoming the Bride of Christ. To become implies movement. Therefore for you to become My bride implies you must move from where you are to where you’ll be. There is a process of becoming a bride without spot or wrinkle; perfect. Who is it you’ve become? How have you been transformed?”
God is letting us know we are moving toward something while we are pursuing him. We are in a process and if we’d take a minute to look back at where we were we might see who we have become. Some transformation is instant and some takes time. You may not be exactly where you want to be but you are on the road to becoming holy like He is holy; perfect like He is perfect.
