Be encouraged today from the Holy Spirit who said: “I decree a fast. A fast in the land. A fast from the profane. A fast from the distractions, a fast from the meaningless. With survival on the line see and hold onto what is meaningful. Do not starve yourself on my account, nor in My Name, says The Lord. But, starve out all that is within you which hinders you from becoming closer to me. Let those distractions starve- let them dry up and disintegrate. Call for new pathways to form and new life to come forth.”
I had to look up “profane” which means being devoted to those things not sacred; treating sacred things with disrespect.” Whatever is in your life which is not sacred, yet you are devoted to it, to the point where the truly meaningful things in your life go unattended is what you are to fast from. Go cold turkey. Starve out its hold on your life. This is what a true fast is. Fasting from food, or starving your body has some benefit but taking care of and building up your spiritual life has a greater reward.
Then you can “call for new pathways to form”. Call for new ways of doing things, new routines, new avenues of thought or new avenues of blessing to open up which will form into a new, never before existing way of life. Great stuff! ~Anne

Undeserved Love
