When God led the Israelites out of Egypt He wanted all of them to become his people and ascend the mountain into his presence. Instead the people had a different idea. They did not want to ascend or enter into a personal relationship with God. So, they told one man Moses, to ascend in authority rather than all of them together.
This is what we mostly see in the Church today with one man (or woman) who ascends to the top of a Church or TV ministry. The minister maintains his/her relationship with God with many underneath their covering. Each week the people are content to listen to messages rather than going up and into the mountain of the Lord for themselves.
Now, there is much good which comes from the wisdom and revelation God gives to those whom he is close to. God comforts, teaches, trains, heals and so forth and we in turn do the same for others. It’s a pathway to reveal God to others. However, the problem arises if we do nothing more to cultivate our own personal relationship with Christ but think listening to someone else has done the job for us.
All those in authority should be teaching and training everyone into their own personal relationship with God because He desires ALL to enter in for themselves. No one is left out with a word like ALL.
God is calling all mankind to himself. He is calling everyone to come home. Home is available to everyone and the best news ever is: WE DO NOT NEED TO DIE TO GO HOME!!!!
One of the biggest movements in the Church, which has already begun, is the ascent of the masses into their own supernatural, personal, experiential relationship with God.
And because of this, the Church will be shaken for a short time. There will be great falling away as many will leave organized Church to form something new. Many without formal training will begin to have wisdom and knowledge of the Lord which in prior moves only came through fivefold ministry or those who were known.
This is the time for the UNKNOWNS to become KNOWN.
How many of us think we can’t pursue our dream because we just don’t know how to do it. I heard something recently from motivational speaker Bob Proctor and I hope it changes your mind about success and failure. He said, It’s your story. It’s yours to tell. If you knew this- you would do…
The night Jesus was betrayed he prayed in the Garden of Gethsemane. He asked the Father three times if “this cup” could pass from him; yet not his will but the will of the Father be done. It’s like Jesus was asking- “Is there any other way to save mankind?” The crucifixion has been portrayed in…
I’m reminded of a morning several years ago when I woke up knowing it was going to be “one of those days”. At that time, I’d developed an allergy to ragweed – which our home is surrounded plentifully by on three sides of our property. While I didn’t get cold-like symptoms; I did feel dizzy. …
