The definition of blindsided is: to be hit or attacked from an unexpected position. This description will not come as a surprise to you but it can pin point areas of our lives which might become targets for a blindside attack.
As an example, a quarterback does not have eyes all around his head.  If the QB is looking downfield to make a pass, from his blindside is a defender who spots his weakness and makes a tackle called a “sack”.  This sack is a surprise because the QB was not expecting the hit.
A sack isn’t made by a defensive player 30 yards away.  It happens from a defender who is the closest and has the best chance of taking down the QB before he can make a play or look the defenders way.  Likewise, a blindsided spiritual attack will come from somewhere close which has the potential to do the most damage. What is close enough to knock you down but is outside the scope of your vision?
Think about the story of Job. Satan studied Job.  He watched Job very closely and was ready with an accusation of his faults when questioned by God.  Satan was also ready to bring calamity upon an upright man at a moment’s notice.  Satan is ready to do the same for all mankind.  He is not discriminate.  He hates all whom God loves- which is everyone because God loves the world. (John 3:16)
Blindsided attacks are calculated.  Even while you are unaware there are spiritual enemies watching your life poised to make a move against you.  Their job is that of their leader: steal, kill, and destroy.
Now, before you become fearful, the Bible is clear of our certain victory and we have power over all the power of the enemy.

But you belong to God, my dear children. You have already won a victory over those people, because the Spirit who lives in you is greater than the spirit who lives in the world.

1 John 4:4 NLT

Who have we overcome?  Every spirit who does not confess Jesus Christ as Lord.  We have power over all the power of the enemy!  When we are surprised in an area we’ve not been focused on, let us then keep in mind we have every right to expect a victory in the situation.
Blindsided attacks catch us unprepared from an unexpected position.  Our spiritual enemies are not just after our earthly life of the flesh but they want to steal, kill and destroy our heavenly, eternal future and rewards too.
When Job was suddenly blindsided by Satan, he was doing nothing wrong.  (Well, I’ve heard some say he was in the wrong making sacrifices for his children in case they’d sinned against God) This didn’t seem to bother God who was bragging about him.  God was proud of Job despite his seeming failures.  But, Satan doesn’t like people who are Godly and doing well.  He’s not into “Grace”.  He’s into legalism and found a way to legally pursue Job.
If you have been blindsided by Satan, he has studied you and chosen an area which is probably not on your radar screen.  This area has the potential to be a like a BIG PLAY and even has the possibility to SCORE and make a huge impact for God.  Think about this!  The very area you were not even looking at as having an impact is the very area you will produce a huge, bountiful harvest for God. You will SCORE for God in this area!!!
So, Satan sought to knock you down.  Yet it ain’t over until it’s over and you can count on God to give you what is needed to get back up and whip the pants off your enemy.
