One morning I began to pray, “Thank You Lord”. I said this again and upon speaking it the third time I felt like I wasn’t just repeating empty words but my insides were getting involved. Pray simply, savoring each word you speak until you feel your heart and mind deeply connect with your words. Wait for this connection! A spiritual experience is near!
I closed my eyes and went with what came out from the darkness. I began to see waves coming forth from me. They were slow waves but as I continued to speak my love to Jesus they rippled outward from my being.
In the gentleness and tenderness of this moment I said, “I love you Lord”. I saw those words form like a rocket moving quickly straight to the Lord himself and I knew I was connected to God in a deep moment. My eyes were still closed and a single tear fell from the feeling of completeness. I thought about dropping to my knees but bent my head instead not wanting to lose the moment I was in.
I said, “Yes, I love you and yes, I’ve come for the blessing You told me about”. Instantly I had the deepest desire to live with the spiritual becoming much more real than the natural. I wanted to live with this feeling of completeness and constant intimacy with Christ without interference.
I opened my eyes and looked around the room and knew I’d received the blessing of Today. Then I spoke, “This is my life. This is my life to live. These are my people- my family, my friends. If there was none of ‘this’ life there would be no ‘other’ life. My natural life is spiritual and my spiritual life is natural. Life is a great and glorious gift from God so live today – in this life – fully without shame or reserve.”
In Christ, Anne
